Scrap Cable & Wire Recycling Line
Recover saleable copper granules from mixed and thin cable that manual stripping cannot handle economically — 300–500 kg/h on the heavy-duty build.

Thin, mixed and multi-strand cable is slow to strip by hand and often sold unprocessed at a fraction of its copper value. Burning is illegal in most markets and destroys the metal.
Clean copper granules at 99.5–99.9% purity that can go straight to a refinery or trader, with the plastic fraction separated for recycling. Accepts automotive harness, LAN cable, industrial and household wire, and capillary tube.
How the line runs
- 01
Pre-sorting
Cable is sorted by type and diameter; oversized armoured cable is routed to a separate stripping stage rather than the granulator.
- 02
Granulation
The granulator cuts cable into short pieces, releasing copper from the insulation without water or chemicals. On the heavy-duty build a 15 kW pre-shredder feeds a 37 kW granulator, giving 300–500 kg/h; the whole line is 100% dry physical separation.
- 03
Airflow separation
An inclined conveyor lifts the granulate to a vibrating table, where airflow and vibration separate the lighter plastic from the denser copper; this gravity-and-air stage is what replaces water flotation.
- 04
Dust collection
An integrated collection stage keeps fine dust out of the working area and out of the product.
- 05
Optional secondary separation
For very fine wire, an eddy current or electrostatic stage can raise recovery further.
Machines specified for this process

Copper Wire Granulator
Dry-type granulator that turns mixed insulated cable into clean copper granules, from a 220 V workshop unit to a 600 kg/h production machine.

Eddy Current Separator
High-frequency rotor that ejects aluminium, copper and zinc from mixed streams, separating particles down to 3 mm at >99% aluminium recovery.

GTS Series Trommel Screen
Rotary drum screener that splits shredded scrap into size fractions before sorting, reducing downstream wear and improving separation accuracy.
Send the material mix, get a stage sequence
We do not quote a line from a description alone. Send the composition, throughput and site constraints, and the reply will be a proposed flow with the equipment that fills each stage — and an honest note on what you can skip.
