How it works
It is widely matched with induction furnaces, melting furnaces, rolling mills, industrial compressors, hydraulic equipment and mechanical processing production lines. It effectively dissipates waste heat generated by industrial equipment, keeps circulating water temperature stable, and guarantees long-term continuous and stable operation of thermal industrial equipment.
Induction power supplies, coils and cables are water-cooled, and the heat they pick up has to leave the system continuously. A cooling tower does that by rejecting heat to atmosphere: warm water is spread over a fill medium, air moves past it, and evaporation carries the heat away.
The two arrangements differ in what they do to the water. An open tower exposes the circuit to air, so dust and evaporation concentrate the water and it needs regular treatment and makeup. A closed tower keeps the process water in a sealed loop and cools it through a heat exchanger, which protects the furnace circuit from contamination at the cost of a larger footprint.
Key features
- Excellent Heat Dissipation Performance: Adopts optimized air-water mixing design and large-area heat dissipation filler, fast heat exchange speed, outstanding cooling effect, and meets large-flow industrial cooling demands
- Simple & Cost-Effective Structure: Overall mechanical structure is simple and reasonable, with low manufacturing cost and low initial investment. It is easy to install and put into operation, suitable for various factory layout conditions
- Energy Saving & Low Consumption: Equipped with high-efficiency low-power fan and water distribution system, it reduces unnecessary energy consumption during operation, helping enterprises cut production operating costs
- Large Cooling Capacity & Strong Adaptability: Support customized water flow and cooling specifications, flexible to match different types of furnaces and industrial equipment, with wide application range and strong compatibility
How to choose cooling systems
- Size the tower against the heat rejection the power supply demands, not against the furnace tonnage.
- Choose closed loop where the furnace circuit must stay clean or where the site water is hard or dirty; choose open where footprint and cost dominate and water treatment is available.
- Confirm the ambient design condition — a tower sized for a mild climate will run short in a hot season.
- Plan the pump, tank and piping as part of the package; a tower without matched circulation is not a cooling system.

Frequently asked questions
How do I get a price for the Open Water Cooling Tower?
There is no list price — every unit is configured to the material first, because the drive, chamber or coil changes with it. Send the material you process, the throughput you need per hour and the destination port, and the quotation is built on those three.
Do I need a closed or an open cooling tower for an induction furnace?
Closed loop where the furnace cooling circuit must stay clean — it keeps process water sealed and rejects heat through a heat exchanger, which suits hard or dirty site water and protects the coil and power supply. Open towers are simpler and smaller but expose the water to air, so they need treatment and regular makeup.
How is a cooling tower sized for an induction furnace?
By the heat the power supply and coil reject, which follows installed power and duty cycle — not by furnace capacity in tonnes. Getting this wrong is the usual cause of a furnace that runs fine in winter and derates in summer.
What happens if the cooling system is undersized?
The power supply protects itself and cuts back output, so melt rate falls exactly when production needs it. Persistent overheating shortens the life of capacitors and cables, which is why cooling is specified together with the furnace rather than added afterwards.
